Powder coatings represent one of youngest and most perspective programmes in Helios Group, as the consumption of powder coatings has been increasing more quickly worldwide in comparison to consumption of standard coatings. Powder coatings are mixtures of resins, pigments and additives, which are mixed in production process, extruded, grinded and packed as powder in plastic bags in cardboard boxes. They are suitable for electrostatic application to surface (metals, MDF, temperature resistant plastic), where after thermic treatment and radiation they represent decorative and/or corrosion protection of facilities. Powder coatings are eco-friendly, as they do not contain organic solvents, which in standard paints and enamels represent from 20 to 80% of composites. The coverage at painting with powder coatings is high and amounts to approximately 99%. Powder coatings have the most favourable ecologic balance in comparison to other paints and enamels. They are highly resistant to strokes, abrasion, chemicals and have good corrosion characteristics.
